Tori's Favorite Tales

I have never read this book, but this week at ARI training, it was really recommended and we were given some really good ideas of classroom use. This book is about a boy who is fascinated by words, seems to find them everywhere he goes/looks, and collects them in a jar. I think it would be fun to have an actual clear, plastic jar in the classroom and whenever we are reading and come across a really cool, new word, add it to the jar throughout the year. Then, at the end of the year go through all the words we add. It would be a good incentive for students to really read and listen to stories we read to be able to find words, write them on a paper strip, and be able to add them to our classroom word jar!
